    I am using MRTG to do pretty much what you want. I replaced the
'fingerd' process on each of our mail gateway machines with a script I 
wrote that does a count of stats I am interested in. Then I wrote a series
of MRTG scripts that use the finger output for graphing. I keep track of
the current queue, 5 minute counts of messages received/delivered and
cumulative totals of received and delivered for the day. You can have a
look at the stats at http://www.csc.com/SNMP/email


    I would be happy to send the stuff I use to who ever wants it.
