It is a internet service which *eveyone* should use to help block SPAM.

As well as every site keeping its own SPAM block addresses, there is a DNS
service you can use to check whether the calling address is deemed to be a
SPAMmer (or relay for a SPAMmer).

It is not run by some harassed postmaster in hir spare time, but is run by
someone employed for the purpose.

Looking up the blocked address returns a URL explaing what the RBL is, and a
link to the *reason* for the block having been applied.

It is easy to get an address removed, and it takes effect "immediately" for
*all* clients on the internet (well, within a minute or so).

Three extra steps I take are:

recipients_reject_except = postmaster@???
    ALWAYS allow email to postmaster, regardless of SPAM blocks etc.
    You should let people make contact to try to fix problems !

rbl_except_nets =
    You have the control over which "blocked" sites are actually allowed
    (local policy may differ from the RBLs policy - *YOU* are in control)

prohibition_message = contact postmaster@??? for further info
    In combination with the two above, ensures that any false positives
    can be sorted out.
