Hello,

I've compiled exim with USE_DB, and I've built a small, simple dbm
table with the makemap utility provided with sendmail 8.8.5. However,
${lookup}'s are failing miserably with the database. Any ideas? I'm probably
doing something stupid.

Tried the hash format with makemap too.. didn't try btree (need db v2.x?)

Here's the line from configure:

new_address = ${lookup{${local_part}@${domain}}dbm{/etc/exim/test.db}{${value}}}

and /etc/exim/test (I had a colon after the first field at first):

artknapp@???           e0661001@???

and the command i'm using:

./makemap dbm test < test

and the error:

1997-08-21 16:16:13 0x1gSP-0005lD-00 == artknapp@??? D=virtual_users defer (-9): <> - bad address generated by virtual_users director: empty address
