bad mode (100664) for .forward?

I am trying to figure out how to get the .forwards to work on our system..
they did fine with sendmail, but when I run exim, it won't read the
.forward... What cna I do to fix this? I need the answer really soon, if
possible... I'm not on the mailing list, so please cc replies...
