Hi List!
I have Exim 4.98 compiled from sources.
It works.
I started it so:
start-stop-daemon --start --pidfile /var/run/exim1.pid --quiet --exec
$DAEMON -- "-bd" "-q5m" "-qff1h"
so that in the process list I see:
exim 375398 0.0 0.0 20108 11200 ? Ss Dez02 0:06
/opt/exim/bin/exim -bd -q5m -qff1h
As I said, it works, but today I discovered an E-Mail in the queue since
about 7 hours.
The E-Mail was from recipient temporarily rejected due to Greylist.
I expect that Exim will retry every 5 minutes and every hour to deliver
the E-Mail, but it does not...
In the logs I don't see any entry about regular retries, as I see on
other server with a previous version of Exim.
What do I did wrong?
