I propose to start diagnostic with:
1. exim -bt XXXXXXXXXX@???
2. exim -brt XXXXXXXXXX@???
3. exim_dumpdb /var/spool/exim retry | grep -A1 yahoo.com
(put rial path to your exim's spool dir here)
4. exim -d-all+retry+route \
-f bounces@??? -i XXXXXXXXXX@??? \
< /path/to/test.file
Maybe "exim_fixdb /var/spool/exim retry" or complete removal of retry db
helps, but you have better to save a copy of retry db for investigation.
