Bug ID: 3080
Summary: Authentication-Results Header iprev uses old/wrong
property for client IP address
Product: Exim
Version: 4.97
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: bug
Priority: medium
Component: String expansion
Assignee: unallocated@???
Reporter: wbreyha@???
CC: exim-dev@???
Exim currently uses
iprev=<result> (FQDN) smtp.remote-ip=<client-ip>
in for the iprev Method in (ARC-)Authentication-Results Headers.
If I read RFC 8601 and
https://www.iana.org/assignments/email-auth/email-auth.xhtml#email-auth-methods
right this should be changed to
policy.iprev=<client-ip>
And it seems that smtp.remote-ip is only used with the "arc" method.
