Just enhancing the existing generated error lines with ESCs (and advertising
the feature) would be a first step (though somewhat laborious work).
Custom message= supplied by the config would just work if they had an ESC,
but it would be good to check for existence and supply one if not, based
on the basic code (if present) and the context of the call.
Might want to provide observability of transport results.
