If anyone is interested I can provide a patch that provides this feature
there's about 20-40 lines changed in deliver.c and a single line in readconf.c,
and both globals.[ch]
my exim probalbly too heavily modified to easily extract this feature as a
clean patch. but I can provide partial diffs.
deliver could be refactored (as it now has equivalent code in 3 places) but I
didn't do that as I have to maintain this patch.
