Thank you for your contribution. I will apply it to the repository in due
course (but not in a hurry, so it may be a while). I am entirely reliant on
contributors like yourself for the development of the CMake configuration, as I
am not a CMake user. The best I can do is to check that I can do a simple build
using CMake on Linux, which does happen before each release.
Getting CMake to build both static and shared in one go as the configure script
does seems like a reasonable idea.
