The patch affects common code as well, so I would land it only if Philip would
be ok with an RC2.
I also have bad experiences with Mac patches. The last time that code was
modified I read several complaints about it in various forums after release
(they should complain before release of course, but a lot of negative feedback
is not good for any project even if it is not our fault). Would it be possible
to get some review from Apple itself? Does somebody has connections to them?
