either one would work AFAIK, but I would prefer the former; unless the patch is
not considered safe enough (specially after RC1 was released) or we couldn't
wait for that to be integrated and tested before a final release.
based on the last testing done upstream[1] it might seem that the user impact
would be less critical with this included than not.
but more testing is definitely needed for a higher confidence of success,
specially considering the other variables to consider:
* macOS 11 intel
* effect when not notarized (this might not be possible per OS release notes)
* effect when using com.apple.security.cs.allow-jit entitlement (arm and x86)
* behaviour when fork()
