Apologies for my stupidity but I cannot see how this change affects me but
it does
I have two users who are active and afer I built 4.94 one of them got mail
as usuual (user jpff) but the other had mail deferred

Why should /home/aff/mbox be different from /home/jpff/mbox? It was
working with 4.93.0.3. I have no use of $local_user apart from calls to
check_local_user.
I have backed off for now but I am very confused
