Partially addressed by the fix envisaged for 2456.
String-expansions lookups will work then with ";" - but the issue remains for "
"
and "{'. List-mode lookups still won't work with ";".
How about quoting operators for the various cases?
We would need to extend the bits of parsing code handling the server-spec to
handle whatever quoting (eg. prefixing with "\") the operator spat out.
