[exim] failed to open DB file

Hi experts,

what might be the reason for the following log entry

failed to open DB file /var/spool/exim/db/retry: Success

"failed" or "Success" ?

When doing "Mail -v ..." I see

illegal flag specified to DB_ENV->set_timeout
unknown ack_policy in DB_ENV->repmgr_set_ack_policy

FYI:

# ls -la
total 8

Any explaining info appreciated. Instructions for the solution also.
