Isn't that fixed in 31323b30449a59713ed7a99f86e356cb1b9d0fb7 ?
The fix was introduced after the release of 4.89.
Please retry with a more recent version.
OTOH Debian is usually quite busy in including important patches. But I'm not
sure if they included that one.
