It's always difficult to know how many cross references to put in. I try to
balance not being too annoying with "(See xxx for details)" all over the place
while at the same time trying to make it easy for people to find their way
around. I have now added another phrase to the sentence you first cited, which
now ends with 'as described in the section entitled "Internal Option Setting"
above.' In the HTML version (which I guess you are using) there is a hyperlink.
