The
ftp.csx.cam.ac.uk site, from which PCRE has been distributed, has
been discontinued. For various reasons this has happened rather
suddenly, which is why no notice was given here.
However, the site that holds all PCRE releases from 8.00 onwards remains
active, and that is where new releases will be put in future. The
current PCRE2 release is here:
