I cannot reproduce a crash, but using valgrind I do get a lot of errors with
PCRE 8.39, which I presume is the release you are using. However, the current
release is 8.42, and these errors do not occur with that release, so the bug
has, I suspect, been fixed, though I can't spot exactly which patch did it. If
you can reproduce the problem with 8.42, please re-open this bug. Thanks for
the very full report.
