Thank you for noticing the error in the HTML front page. Nobody else has! I
have corrected it in the SVN repository. As for study, the answer is indeed
"no". When I originally designed PCRE I thought that there might be some
computationally expensive studying, which is why there was a separate study
phase. However, by the time PCRE2 was being created, it was clear that such
studying as was done was relatively cheap, so PCRE2 does automatic studying,
always. This simplifies the code, the documentation, and the testing regime.
I will see if I can find a suitable place in the documentation to slip in a few
words for others who are coming from PCRE1.
