Yup, this has been buggy since content-scanning was introduced.

So far as MIME ACL vs. cutthrough, it depends on what your ACL does and how
much you care about wasted onward-connections and the data therein. If you
"deny" as a result of the MIME ACL (the same as the DATA ACL) the only thing
cutthrough can do is abandon the connection without sending a final-dot.
(Actually there's a buglet there as well, currently. I'll do the two fixes
together). You can't add headers, so "warn" makes no sense. You could just
be logging extra info or writing into a database...
