pcretest was only ever a quick hacked up test program, much extended over the
years. I am not really interested in bugs therein. For PCRE2, the re-written
test program, pcre2test, actually had some thought put into it and is much
cleaner. This issue is a minor problem in pcretest which is not present in
pcre2test, so I am not going to do anything about it.
