OK, it's not anything to do with your config file; Berkeley DB is all builtin
stuff. It's used for the hints databases.
With your 4.89.1 compiled version, if you run "exim -bV" there should be a
line fairly early on giving the BDB header-files version. What is that?
Does it match what you expect from your system installed packages?
How does it differ from the 4.89 exim version?
Can you (or did you already) build your own 4.89 ?
