I do not like to make releases more frequently than 6-month intervals, because
every release makes work for the downstream maintainers. Only if there were a
really major bug would I release more quickly. I'm afraid I don't think this is
sufficiently major, especially as it affects only DFA matching, which is less
commonly used. PCRE 8.40 was released last January, so I would expect 8.41 to
come out some time in June.
