If nobody objects, I can resurrect the patch I did before 4.88. It didn't go
into 4.88 because we decided not to do so. CHUNKED messages w/o a final new
line are broken anyway and a good solution would include more work than just
that small fix.
The easy work around would be to disable chunking for incoming messages (don't
advertise chunking to sending clients.)
