Hi,
Having a hard time troubleshooting this one. I have Exim and Dovecot
running on the same server, with a transport to Dovecot's LMTP socket
for local mailbox deliveries. Intermittently (50/50-ish or greater), I
get a duplicated logwatch. They're rather large (couple hundred k), but
not anywhere near the 20-40MB that would be considered a usual size
limit. Exim reports a broken pipe usu. 3 times during the first
delivery, but that original message still gets delivered just fine;
Dovecot reports no errors. Exim's second delivery always appears to
work just fine. Logging turned up to full debugging on both ends
doesn't show anything additional.
Any ideas? Might the broken pipe be in reference to logwatch->exim and
not exim->dovecot? Can provide whatever info you'd like (some config, I
imagine); example messages too, to a private address, if someone is
willing to help. Any help on how to debug this would welcome; willing
to hack on the source too, as this is not a production server.
