Bug ID: 1827
Summary: fix the use of int on 16 bits x86 (it can also provide
improvements on plateforms using Êá´64 and ÊÊá´64)
Product: Exim
Version: N/A
Hardware: x86
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: security
Priority: medium
Component: Unfiled
Assignee: nigel@???
Reporter: ytrezq@???
CC: exim-dev@???
As suggested on
https://lists.exim.org/lurker/message/20140421.235713.227c7638.fr.html I also
post this here.
The 16 bits architecture is supported in exim though Linux and Êê±á´
.
While probably nobody will rub exim on original hardware, the 16 bits x86
architecture is a good choice for microcontrollers.
NEC is an example company manufacturing 80286 compatible µC (for embedded
device of course)
Several fixes will follow this pull request once merged or definitely rejected
(not enough time to rewrite until July). One of them patch a confirmed flow
that allow to á´Éªá´ any connections when relaying to an another client (no
versions of ɢɴá´á´Êê± or openê±ê±Ê prevent this)
