Subject: [exim-dev] [Bug 1788] Some deliveries not re-attempted after 'T=remote_smtp defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host' on first delivery attempt

--- Comment #20 from Alex Presland <exim@???> ---
After real life getting in the way, I've now got a test Debian/exim virtual
machine (called eximtest.testdomain.org.uk) running on my home PC through
VMware Player. My router passes port 25 through to it, and I've set up
iptables to only allow traffic through from the local subnet and
"bear.myhostdomain.net", in order to protect it from spam (which it would
reject anyway).

I'm hoping that I can re-create the failed message deliveries by just disabling
exim on eximtest, causing messages to be queued, sending more messages in to
hit the "T=remote_smtp defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host", and
then starting exim on eximtest to allow delivery.

I'll let you know how I get on...
