I'm guessing this is a Debian patched Exim based on 4.84? It may be worth
checking in Debian's bug database, in case it's already fixed, or reporting
also there (please link that bug with this one).
If not yet known, was a coredump produced? If repeatable, can one be obtained
(you may need to enable cores for setuid processes; see "man core". Also, "man
ulimit" for a decent, nonzero, allowance for the core file size).
