That’s partly because you aren’t subscribed to the list. So your messages are held for moderation before they’re distributed to the list. I’ve been responding to your emails before they’re distributed to the list.

It’s partly because you’re asking questions that nobody can answer: seeking confirmation that it’s safe to do something, when we can never know the complete setup that you have. We did quickly get to the root of the problem, and confirm a solution.

Exim is an open source project, with no commercial sponsorship. It’s developed and supported entirely by volunteers. Nevertheless, I’ve always found support through this list to be *much* faster, and *far* better informed than the support that I’ve received for some very popular commercial mail systems that my employer pays for: from whom the answer is usually "you can’t do that", when they occasionally mean "we don’t know how to do that".
