Well, I'd like to see DANE fully supported. Did you ever get a
chance to integrate the latest version ssl_dane library from github?

The latest version should continue to compile even with the OpenSSL
development version (soon be an alpha of 1.1.0) which deprecates
some obsolete interfaces.
We could perhaps review that code one more time...
