The error from an open() syscall (possibly plain, possibly with O_CREAT)
was ETIMEDOUT. Most filesystems will never do that; I suspect you may have
your spool on NFS - which is not a supported configuration.
On that basis, closing. Please re-open if my guessing is wrong, and the
issue still present.
