Well, you can change the following constant in sljitLir.h:
/* The local_size must be >= 0 and <= SLJIT_MAX_LOCAL_SIZE. */
#define SLJIT_MAX_LOCAL_SIZE 65536
However, very large values may not work on all supported CPUs. So try bigger values (e.g. 512K) and see what happens. I never tested bigger values.
