Addendum: Mystery is solved. It wasn't disable_ipv6, but rather
"dns_ipv4_lookup = *", which ends up doing about the same thing in the end.
Sorry for bothering you, but I thought I'd add this just in case some poor
fellow gets led here by a google search.
Thank you for the hint about adding "dns" to the debug flags. It led me to
examine why AAAA records weren't even searched for.
