Some ACL conditions involve more than two expanded strings (acl, saslauthd),
some only one (eg. isip) - and some that are subject to list-interpretation
(named-sublists) - and some that do not get expanded.
Do we want to use numbered variables rather than strictly _left/_right ?
Do we want to support the nonbinary conditions? (suggest: yes)
Do we care about the list aspect? (suggest: no, ignore it)
Do we care about nonexpanded items? (suggest: yes, for consistency)
