I have created a root CA certificate, two sub CAs and then a host
certificate. This is to test whether everything will work under
realistic conditions without purchasing a chained certificate for my
temporary test domain.
So basically I have a complete custom PKI in place. The root CA
certificate is currently installed in all my clients (Windows, Firefox,
Thunderbird). This works as expected with other services (http, imap).
