Summary: system_filter.exim has bug in non-quoted filename
matching regex
Product: Exim
Version: 4.76
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: bug
Priority: medium
Component: Filters
AssignedTo: nigel@???
ReportedBy: info@???
CC: exim-dev@???
If you send a file attachment with a name like so:
yaddayadda.com - Email Accounts.xls
It will be blocked by the system filter by the regex for unquoted filenames. In
the raw email it will come through like:
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel;
name="yaddayadda.com - Email Accounts.xls"
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename="yaddayadda.com - Email Accounts.xls"
The regex on line 145 will match:
filname="yaddayadda.com
And will fail the sending of the email.
I suggest adding this to the regex just after (?:file)?name=
[^\"]
My apologies if this has already be addressed in a later build, I just don't
have time to do a totally fresh install of exim to test, but wanted to make
sure you guys know.
Have a good day,
-Steve
