It was non-bourne-shell usage. I believe I have fixed it and will check
to see if the buildbot is happy.

No, it's OK. I have it on my list to check the buildbot but I don't do
it very often as I'm concentrating on getting the final items of work
for PCRE2 done. I will definitely check the buildbot before releasing
anything.
