Hi ,

Below two scenarios we got as an error:

Example 1:

Regex   /.*The task.*\(GPD\) +PreGPD +for +Binary +Load +\(GSMO\).*failed.*/
        (WORKING)
        /.*The
task.*\(GPD\)\s+PreGPD\s+for\s+Binary\s+Load\s+\(GSMO\).*failed.*/
(FAILING)

Text 7/16/2014 08:02:19.9752128 Error The task "(GPD) PreGPD for
Binary Load (GSMO)" failed. Exception:

Example 2:

Regex   /^[c]\s*[a]\s*[t]\s*[s]\s*/
Text this will find the word cats or c a ts or any spaces in between the
word cats.

One thing we observed , issue is happening with Windows and Linux and on
Solaris it is working fine.

On windows and Linux we are using below code:

options = options | PCRE_UTF8;
table = pcre_maketables();
pattern = pcre_compile(outStr, options, &error, &errptr,table);

On Solaris we are using below:

pattern = pcre_compile(str, options, &error, &errptr,NULL);

Can option of PCRE_UTF8 make any difference?

Regards
Prashant Joshi

In that case, please can you send a sample pattern and subject text that
shows the problem? Needless to say, the standard tests for PCRE have
lots and lots of examples of \s, and the main developement takes place
on Linux.

Preferably, if you can, it would be good if you could make an example
input file for pcretest that shows the problem.
