Sorry, yes, you're quite right. r1472 already includes the same changes to the
expected test output that I suggested; marking my version as obsolete.
To the author of Comment #3: the part of r1472 affecting
code/trunk/pcre_compile.c is not sufficient; the part affecting
code/trunk/testdata/testoutput2 is also necessary for tests to pass. Both of us
had apparently ignored that while filtering out the "Fix C++ compiler warnings"
parts of that commit.
