I have uploaded Exim 4.83 RC1 to
ftp://ftp.exim.org/pub/exim/exim4/test/
It has been 6 months since the last regular release. The RC process was
supposed to begin 2 days ago, but a vulnerability and need for a rapid
release of a patch diverted attention from this RC release.
This release contains many bugfixes and enhancements, some features
promoted from Experimental to mainline (PRDR and OCSP Stapling), as well
as a couple of new Experimental feature (Proxy Protocol and DSN). The
bugfixes touch many different functions: various TLS improvements, build
and portability fixes, LDAP enhancements, several new operations,
documentation fixes and enhancements, logging enhancements, enforce
header formatting, new malware "sock" type, cutthrough routing
enhancements, a new TLSA dns lookup, DMARC enhancements, DNSSEC
enhancements, exiqgrep enhancements, and a new commandline option.
Please read the ChangeLog and NewStuff documents referenced below for
more detail.
