Hi Heiko,

i would like to have it based on the reason the NDR was created, not the error that cause the NDR to freeze during it's delivery.
Can this be achieved with the retry rule and error condition as you mentioned?

Thanks,
Thomas

I didn't follow that thread from the beginning.
But if you setup a non existing retry interval for bounces, they're
just tried once and then discarded:

1Wk5qd-000553-4V == foobar@??? R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp defer (-44): SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<foobar@???>: host mail.kugelbus.de [213.128.132.49]: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later
1Wk5qd-000553-4V ** foobar@???: retry timeout exceeded
1Wk5qd-000553-4V foobar@???: error ignored
1Wk5qd-000553-4V Completed

-----
    begin retry

    *   * senders=:
        ^ here you might put a more specific 4xx condition
    ^ here you might put a more specific destination pattern
