I cannot test your program on a Windows system, because I do not have one.
However, on a 64-bit Linux system, it does not loop. Do you have the pcretest
program compiled on your Windows system?[*] If so, please could you run it with
the attached one-line file as input. This is exactly your regex (I hope) in
pcretest format, with the PCRE_UCP option set (as /W). If this also hangs then
there is obviously a bug that manifests itself only on Windows. We will have to
find someone who can help debug on a Windows system.
