Hm, this certanly needs some debugging. If you know gdb well, I can help you,
or I can do it myself if you can give me a console access (with gdb, gcc and
common posix tools) to a ppc64le machine. I like PPC since it is POWERful
architecture :) so it would be good to make pcre run there.
