I verified that the test suite runs fine with 8.33 i386/amd64/sparc/sparcv9 (64
bit).
With the exact same build recipe the test suite fails just for sparcv9 64 bit
with the attached log.
However, the issue seems to have been removed from 8.34 to trunk as the git
versions test suite is run without any problems:

If you would consider it useful I could bisect the issue for the resolving
commit.
