I've had a quick look (at the revised patch) and it looks good to me. I
have not tried the patch yet. I will look at it in more detail later. I
do think you need a better name, because XCL_NOPROP is too close to the
existing XCL_NOTPROP - it could be confusing and also could be mistyped.
Ideas: XCL_PROPLESS, XCL_WITHOUTPROP, XCL_CHARSONLY, or maybe turn it
the other way and use XCL_HASPROP?
