There is quite a bit of new code in this release because the way that
"auto-possessification" is done has been re-implemented. Previously,
simple cases such as turning a+b into a++b were handled, but now many
more cases are recognized. This gives significant performance gains.
Credit for the new approach goes to Zoltán Herczeg.
Other major changes are highlighted in NEWS, and all changes are listed
in ChangeLog. Please test this release candidate as much as you can so
that we can iron out any problems that it may have.
