You're welcome. Thanks for being open minded! If Exim is still
by default (CNAME) canonicalizing the domain part of envelope
recipient addresses, it should probably be changed to not do this.
Exim administrators should perhaps be able to enable this legacy
behaviour if they so desire. FWIW, in Postfix there is no such
switch, the behaviour was simply changed in 2002 with to conform
to RFC 2821.
