Did you heard about proxy-protocol ?

This is specific protocol over TCP to chains a software to reverse
proxies and proxies without while keeping client informations like
source IP, source TCP port, dest IP, dest TCP port.

This protocol is not yet a RFC, but can be considered as experimental.
