I don't suppose you know which of the opensolaris children (illumos,
etc) has most traction and community behind it, with a decent
VM-friendly installer, so I can shove something into VMware and get a
Solaris environment for building, do you?
Perhaps a loaded question. ;) But if I'm going to try to support
Solaris, I need something I can reach sensibly, including when I'm on a
plane, so VM on my laptop it is.
